“Zoe? Did you poop-poop?”
“NooOOOooo!” she would say vehemently. Her “No” dragged out, then rising in tone in the middle, and then falling and stopping abruptly.
By now we knew that if she doth protesteth too much, it meant it was diaper changing time.
If she says, “no” unemotionally or with a smile, then her diaper was poop-less.
Flash forward in my mind.
Zoe is a teenager and starting to date.
“Zoe! Have you had sex with your boyfriend?”
