Nothing to sneeze at

Zoe has a nemesis.

Sneezes.

I think she’s not quite sure what happens when she sneezes. Just as she is not quite sure what happens when she hiccups (See previous post).

But she really REALLY doesn’t like sequential sneezes.

So what happens is, she sneezes, then she realises that a second sneeze is coming, and she gets angry.

So it’s “Ah-Choo” (first sneeze).

Then it’s an angry “Aarrghhh (it’s another sneeze!)”…

But because she’s yelling the “Aarrgghhh”, she is exhaling, and that dissipates the power of the sneeze. So she ends with either a little sneeze, or even an aborted sneeze.

So it goes something like “Aaarrrggghhh – ccchhh – Hai-Yah!”

The last bit “Hai Yah!” is exasperation for the muted or attempted sneeze.

Then there is a look of bemusement or irritation.

Then I laugh at her tiny anger and exasperation at the sneeze, and she catch me laughing and she smiles.
